Moving to a smaller plan does not ask you what to keep. Postiz enforces the new
limits immediately and picks for you. Read this before changing plan.
Channels over the new cap
Channels above the new limit are disabled, not deleted.
Postiz chooses which ones. If the choice matters, disable the channels you can
live without before you downgrade, so the ones that survive are the ones
you picked.
Nothing is lost: disabled channels keep their history and re-enable in one
click, as long as you are within the cap.
Scheduled posts on a disabled channel do not publish. After a downgrade, check
the calendar for posts on channels that got switched off.
Team members
Dropping to a plan without team members disables every other member of your
organisation. They cannot log in to it, though their accounts still exist.
Upgrading back re-enables them. Nothing is deleted in between.
Losing RSS auto-posting stops the feeds. They are not deleted, but they stop
producing posts.
Webhooks
Webhooks above the new allowance stop firing.
Features that disappear from the interface
Settings tabs vanish when your plan no longer includes them: Teams, Webhooks,
Auto Post, Sets, Signatures, Developers. The underlying data stays.
Your API key in particular still exists, but API access stops working, so
anything built on it breaks until you upgrade again.
Cancelling entirely
Cancelling ends the subscription at the end of the paid period. After that:
- Publishing stops. Scheduled posts stay on the calendar but are not
published, and are not published retroactively if you subscribe again later.
- API access stops.
- Your data stays. Channels, posts, media and settings are all still there.
Lifetime deals
Accounts on a lifetime deal are not affected by any of the above. See
Codes and offers.
Before you downgrade: a checklist
- Count the channels you actually need, and disable the rest yourself.
- Note which team members will lose access.
- Check whether anything you have built depends on the API or on webhooks.
- Look at scheduled posts on channels that are about to be disabled.
- Then change the plan.
