Billing is visible to organisation admins only, and is hidden entirely for
accounts on a lifetime deal.
Changing plan
Pick the new plan on the billing page. Before you confirm, Postiz shows a Pay Today figure: a live calculation of what the change costs right now, accounting for what you have already paid in the current period.- Upgrading charges the prorated difference immediately and the new limits apply at once.
- Downgrading credits the unused portion and the new limits apply at once. Read Downgrades first, since lower plans disable things rather than asking.
Switching between monthly and yearly
The same mechanism. Toggle the billing period, and the plan buttons become available for the period you are not currently on. Proration applies in the same way.Payment method and invoices
Both live in the payment portal, reachable from the billing page. Card updates, billing address, and the full invoice history are there rather than in Postiz itself.Cancelling
Cancelling asks for a reason, and requires a real one: at least 20 characters. Before the form, you may be offered a retention discount, currently 50% off for three months. It appears only if you are on a monthly plan, have been paying for a while, and have no discount already. What cancelling does:- Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Nothing stops immediately.
- Cancelling again before the period ends reverses it and the subscription continues.
What happens when the subscription ends
This is the part worth reading twice. Publishing stops. Scheduled posts stay on your calendar but are not published while the organisation has no active subscription, and they are not published retroactively when you subscribe again. If you resubscribe after a gap, review the posts that were scheduled during it. The API stops too: requests return an error saying no subscription was found. Your data, channels, posts, media and settings, remains in the account. Two accounts, one email
Checkout refuses if another account using the same email address already has an active subscription. Consolidate onto one account, or use a different email for the second organisation.Related
