Setting up a feed

Add the feed
Title is for you. RSS URL is validated as you type: you get
RSS valid! or Could not use this RSS feed, so you know before
saving whether Postiz can read it.

Decide about existing items
Should we sync the current last post? controls whether the newest
existing item posts immediately, or whether Postiz waits for the next new
one. Choose no unless you are deliberately backfilling.

Choose when it posts
Post on the next available slot uses the channel’s
time slots, which keeps an automated feed
inside your normal posting rhythm.Post immediately publishes as soon as the item is found. Use this for
genuinely time-sensitive feeds only.

Choose how the content is written
With autogenerate content on, AI writes the post from the feed item.
With it off, you supply the post content template yourself.Generate picture adds an AI image to each post.

Pick the channels
All integrations, or a specific set.

Save and activate
Feeds have an Active toggle, so you can pause one without deleting it.
Choosing between the two content modes
Autogenerated suits feeds whose titles are not posts on their own: blog articles, release notes, long-form. The AI writes something readable per platform. Your own template suits feeds that are already post-shaped, and any case where the wording matters and you would rather be predictable than clever.Practical advice
- Start with one channel and one feed, and watch the first few posts before adding more.
- Combine with next available slot so a burst of feed items spreads out instead of publishing five things at once.
- Feeds that publish many items a day will exhaust your slots. Filter at the source where you can, by using a category-specific feed URL.
